Community Events, Clubs and Information

Wokingham Borough Council and other community organisers often run events and clubs in the local area.

From time to time Wokingham Borough Council will also send us information and news to be shared with Parents. These will be added to this page too.

Download the leaflets and flyers on this page to find out information about what's going on.

Loddon Reach Magazine Distributors Urgently Needed!

Loddon Reach magazine is delivered by volunteers. Without these amazing volunteers, it would not be possible to provide the magazine free to all addresses in the Loddon Reach Benefice area (Beech Hill, Farley Hill, Grazeley, Riseley, Shinfield, Spencers Wood, Swallowfield and Three Mile Cross) and therefore the magazine itself wouldn’t be feasible.

With all the new builds in the area, there are more addresses to deliver to and also some of the delivery volunteers have had to stop due to illness or moving away. Therefore they are now very short of volunteer deliverers. There are 2 types of delivery role that people can volunteer for:

1. Distribution co-ordinators who collect boxes of magazines from the Church and take them by car to each of the deliverers in their area (giving the right number of magazines to each).

2. Deliverers who deliver magazines through letterboxes for the road(s) that they have volunteered for.

For both roles, there is no money to collect as the magazine is free. It should only take up a small amount of your time – on one day per month (usually distributed the last Thursday in the month for delivery by the end of the month) for 10 months of the year (no delivery July & December). Being a volunteer distributor/deliverer can be a rewarding way of getting to know more people in your community and helping to keep Loddon Reach, a vital resource for the community, going. Even if you can’t help on a regular basis, perhaps you could be someone they could call upon for holiday cover?

If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering as a distributor or deliverer, please contact Jane Watkins on: 0118 988 8066 or janewatkins243@btinternet.com to find out more.
