Year 5/6 Football at Home to Robert Pigott School

Spring season has arrived and we kicked off with a home game against Robert Piggott school.

The pitch was a little heavy underfoot but not too bad considering the recent weather. A great first half by the boys saw them come in at half-time with the scores level at 0-0 largely due to Dougie pulling off some great saves in goal.

As the second half started we looked a bit tired and the opposition took advantage of this and took the lead. As the half wore on the boys tried very hard and came close to scoring on a few occasions through LiamĀ and Harry but just couldn't quite find the back of the net. As Lambs Lane pushed forward, Robert Piggott scored a couple of quick goals on the break and we were unable to recover from that. It was a brave effort from the boys.

The effort award agreed on by both Mrs Reed and the team went to Dougie for his commitment both on the pitch and in goal.
