Year 5/6 Football vs Earley St Peters

Another football game and another chance for the boys to secure their first league win.

The game started with a bang as Earley St Peters took the lead inside the first few minutes but they regained their composure for the next 10 minutes before a flurry of goals led to them going in 4-0 down at half time. A switch round of positions seemed to work as we started the second half strong and were soon cheering when we got a goal through Jack after his persistence to keep going.

We were pushing forward and looking threatening and scored again when Jayden took the ball past 3 defenders and slotted the ball home. Some lapse defending at the other end took the score to 5-2 but the Lambs Lane boys didn't give up. A corner by Aaron found its way to Jayden who poked the ball home only for the away side to go down the other end and score again!

Jayden completed his hat trick in the final minutes but that couldn't stop them falling to a 6-4 loss. It was a cracking game by the boys and they were unlucky not to get a draw out of this game. Jayden picked up the effort award for his goal scoring prowess.
